ServDes 2016

ServDes2016 is the premier research conference to exchange knowledge on Service Design and Service Innovation. This year the Conference will be in Copenhagen on the 24-26 May 2016 at Aalborg University – Copenhagen.

Service Design is now a recognized field of design research and practice, with core research areas that are opening to different paths towards new areas of investigation. For this reason the theme of ServDes2016 will be service design geographies. The conference aims at mapping the new landscape of relevant studies, the central areas, the fringe regions and the connection between different territories.

Even if the conference is research focused, the format and the selection of publications are relevant for academics, practitioners and industry. High quality research papers, short paper and case studies will be presented. The keynote speakers for the conference are:
• Christian Bason: chief executive of the Danish Design Centre, a key contributor to the debate on design and innovation; and
• Per-Anders Hillgren, associate professor at Malmö University, an active and passionate researcher that explores the intersection between participatory design, social innovation, living labs and processes for “democratizing innovation”.
