Melbourne Service Designer, Zaana Howard, once said* “all designers at some point try and create their own model of design, because they know better.” It was intended to be tounge-in-cheek. But two other Melbourne Service Designers seem to have taken it more literally.

Simon Lawry and Tristan Cooke both have perfect mix of arrogance and bravery to claim to have a model** of human-centered design they want to present to the design community. It’s time for a showdown.

Come and see them both have 10-15 minutes to present their model then 5 minutes for questions.

Give them feedback. Challenge their validity. Propose an iteration. Maybe even pick a winner?

And have a drink. Always a drink.

*Paraphrased
**Okay, technically they are probably ‘frameworks’ but model worked better for the event name.
