Traversing the path between Design and Business – mapping the experience of practitioners in transition.
Emerging fields of design, such as service and strategic design, have taken designers deeper into the core of organisations. At the same time, the rising profile of design, though practices such design thinking and human centered design, has seen business professionals engaging more designerly ways of working. In 2017, Lisa Overton researched the human experience of practitioners making these transitions in the hope of finding opportunities to craft a better engagement between design and business.
In this month’s Third Thursday Chat Lisa will share some of her key findings in a short presentation, followed by a discussion to further explore some of the themes that emerged from this research.
