Organisations have an idea of how they want to be perceived, and they think of this image as their brand. But the truth is, they can’t force people to see them as they wish to be seen. An organisation’s true brand is the sum of the experiences they deliver to the world.
WORKSHOP | The SDM Case Study
With Service Design reaching maturity in Australia and over 2,000 members in our network, is it time to revisit how we present ourselves from both an industry and community perspective? How can we evolve our brand so that it best embodies our intentions?
In this month’s Third Thursday Chat, Ollie Cotsaftis, founder and director of The Future Ensemble and sessional academic at RMIT School of Design will be leading a brand development workshop to discover the essence of what our community is aiming to achieve.
Part reflection part action, join us to:
- Discuss the notion and role of experiential brands–or Brand as a Service
- Find out who the glitched man on the cover of our event is and why he is there
- Workshop the future of SDM within its extended community
How to get there
Enter Town Hall via the entrance on Swanston Street closest to Little Collins Street. Head to the concierge desk inside the main doors to sign in. We’ll have people to guide you to CityLab.
Event Schedule:
6:00–7:30pm: Introduction & Workshop
7:30–8:30pm: We will then move on for drinks & informal chats
