We are partnering to host a series of small and intimate discussions dedicated to design and ethics. Join us for the first design and ethics session for 2018 to discuss if it’s possible to reach a shared view of design ethics.

As design increases its reach, designers have the distinct opportunity to embody and share ethical practices as part of their methodologies, approaches and ways of working. But, are the ethics of design just a professional question? What role does our humanity play in our ethical design practice, and does our practice reflect our own cultures, values and experiences?

Joining us will be Harriet Wakelam, Director of Human-centred design at IAG, and Jeremy Yuille, Principal at Meld Studios. We welcome participation by anyone who is willing and passionate in contributing to discussions on design and ethics.

Format

We hope to foster an insightful group discussion based on the following questions:

What do ethics mean for us as people and as designers?

Do our methodologies, approaches and ways of working make room for ethics?

What can we learn from acknowledging our different cultures, backgrounds and experiences as part of our practice?

Please note, capacity is limited so please only RSVP if you can definitely attend.

See you there!
